They are smart, quick learners, and very people orientated.

This is Spirit's second litter, and what a beautiful bunch of puppies they are, and very cute, playful, and friendly:

Ellie, our 4 year old daughter holding her favourite pick of the litter, the black male pup.  She calls him little Duke, because he looks just like our border collie dog, Duke.  We have finally caved in and let Ellie keep this little guy, now named "Pan", short for Panhandle and Pancake.

This pup is a sweetheart, he loves the kids and adults and loves to be around them and Ellie has convinced us to keep him.

This pup loves attention too, and also has some good working ability and the desire to protect us when strange things come in the yard (like a mule, he barks away at that trying to get it away from us.)

This pup is a real sweetheart, she is a smaller size like mom (who is about 35-40lbs.)  She loves attention from kids and adults, and is very smart.  We've started working with her, and it only takes once or twice to teach her something.  Smartest pup in the bunch.

Spirit is a loving family dog that also enjoys to work. 

Spirit is the more rare colour of Australian Shepherds, a tri coloured merle with her left eye mostly blue, hence the name Spirit (as dogs with one blue eye were known as spirit dogs back in the day).  Her dad was an Australian Shepherd and her mom a border collie.  This makes an excellent cross.

Here is Wimpy in May 2009, at 2 years old.

Wimpy (the father) is a red and gold tri coloured registered Australian Shepherd that is a laid back family dog enjoying trail rides and truck rides, and working stock.
