After alot of thinking we have decided to put Deuce up for sale.  We bought him as a package deal with some mares, but we really just don't need 5 stallions!  He is an easy gentle breeder (hand breeding), and throws alot of dun and black factor foals as well as quite a few tobianos.  (only 1 foal that was a bay and not a dun).  See below for all his offspring.

Deuce is still young enough to start in the saddle or showing at halter, he is a real eye catcher and perfectly put together.  Also if you jump on it now you can still get some mares bred this year.

Or you can geld him, as it's not too late for that, and he is such a mild mannered stallion that he would be good as a gelding too and you can start riding him.

Both of Deuce's foals from our mares are on the ground and looking good and healthy (from our mares Pocos Little Blue Dun, and Reys A Lil Two Star).  Also check out the 2 outside beauties he had!!  See below for more info.

 Imperial Reign has the rare silver grullo colour, combined with the Tobiano paint markings which makes him an exceptional find.

Deuce has legendary greats such as Gallant Move, Snipper Reed, Imperial One, Gallant Ghost, Poco Pine, Painted Robin, Painted Skipper, Painted Jewel, Black Bar, Kilobar, King Leo Bar, and Blackeyed Sioux in his pedigree. His bloodlines are full of Champions in Halter, Western Pleasure, Working Cow, Racing, Barrels, Heading & Heeling, Reining, Cutting, Trail, and even Hunter Under Saddle.  His breeding proves to be the All-around, Versatile Champion material we strive for in our breeding program.

Deuce is a fairly big boy standing about 15.2hh and we don't think he's done growing yet. He has a big strong hip, perfect conformation, and a pretty head to show top it all off with.
He throws his beautiful baby doll head on every foal, lot's of colour, and plenty of dun factor.

Deuce's offspring are consistently "pretty", very friendly and super easy to handle/train, excellent conformation with huge hips, strong legs/feet and awesome personalities!

A Grullo: You get the black gene diluted by the dun factor to result in a grullo.  The second gene that can affect the bay coat is the dun. It is similar to the creme allele in that it dilutes the coat color but not the point color, it produces lineback duns that can look very similar to buckskins. Unlike the creme allele the dun allele affects both red and black pigments, this makes grullo (black) duns possible.

The dun or D allele determines a second kind of dilution of coat color and it's effects can be confused with those of creme or Ccr. However, there are several important differences of the effects of dun and creme on color. First, dun dilutes both black and red pigment on the body, but does not dilute either pigment in the points. Red body color is diluted to a pinky-red, yellowish-red or yellow; black body color is diluted to a mouse gray, slate gray or silver gray.

Second, in addition to pigment dilution, a predominant characteristic of the allele D is the presence of a pattern which includes dark points, dorsal stripe, shoulder or transverse stripe and leg barring.

Third, homozygosity for the dun allele does not produce extreme dilution to cremello or perlino like the creme allele does.

Dun pigment dilution pattern is called dun factor. In a red horse, the D allele produces a pinkish-red, peach or apricot colored horse with darkened points known as a red dun or claybank dun. In a bay or buckskin horse, the dun allele produces a caramel, yellow-red or yellow animal with black points known as a buckskin dun or buttermilk dun, or dunskin as some call them. A black or brown horse with the dun dilution will be a mouse gray, slate gray or silver gray color with black points known as a grullo.

Tobiano is his paint pattern gene – every registered Paint, Quarter Horse or Thoroughbred mare bred to Imperial Reign will result with a foal registerable through APHA, regardless of colour pattern present.

Other registered breeds such as Arabian or Saddlebred as examples, will qualify for half registries.

Also grade mares that produce a coloured paint foal out of Deuce will qualify for registry with the Canadian Pinto Horse Association.
